The RJC advantage is clear.
Members of our Structural Glass & Façade Engineering group have delivered some of the most extraordinary glass structures in North America and internationally.
Renowned visionary engineer John Kooymans leads this team. John was responsible for North America’s largest continuous skylight (Calgary Eaton Centre Mall*) which unites three city blocks under a veil of transparency and openness, and for the Willis Ledge*, glass boxes cantilevered off Chicago’s Sears Tower, the third tallest building in the world. His solid understanding of glass element assembly, post-breakage behavior, proper analysis techniques, R&D/physical testing requirements and maintenance issues make him an expert in his field.
We can bring your vision to life. Our knowledge of materials and our impressive portfolio mean we design projects where glass goes beyond being an element to gaze through. We believe passionately that structural glass can create a subtle elegance or strength of line to suit any architectural objective; applications include façade engineering in glass fin walls, tension structures, glass canopies, skylights, glass floors, glass stairs and glass bridges.
Our national team works collaboratively with the entire project team to ensure that structural glass meets the desired architectural aesthetic, building envelope and structural requirements. Using the latest innovations and technologies, we bring your vision to life with a full service implementation of the design.
Let us bring modernity and maximum visibility to your project with structural glass. Whether your vision is a glass walkway or a glass box cantilevered off the side of a highrise building, we’re ready and able to help you.
