Thomas offers clients a wealth of global insight, having worked on multiple projects in Hong Kong and Toronto. Among clients and colleagues, Thomas's ability to motivate teams has distinguished him as a mentor, technical resource and project manager who consistently delivers superior service.
His experience ranges from reinforced concrete, structural steel, timber, masonry, to seismic design for new and retrofit for existing structures. His attention to details, completeness in design and cooperative management skill brings success to his projects. Thomas continues to work with repeat, high-profile clients such as Clive Grout on the Robson Square Mound project and with Musson Cattell Mackey Partnership on the Canada Place/Convention Centre team.
Thomas's recent projects include the UBC Faculty of Law building, UBC Student Union Building and an overseas job in Hebei, China.
Thomas graduated from the University of Leeds, UK, with a Bachelors of Science (1st Class Honours) in 1983. He joined RJC’s Vancouver Structural Group in 1993 and became an Associate in 2011.
