Simon offers particular expertise in reinforced concrete design and is currently designated as RJC's technical specialist in this area. Whether in concrete or steel, Simon's strong technical background allows him to bring an innovative approach to the projects he is involved with.
He has been responsible for technically-demanding projects varying from major renovations of historic structures, such as the Banff Springs Hotel and the Grande Theatre in Calgary, to the design of new high-rise condominium towers.
Simon graduated from the University of Calgary with a B.Sc. in 1993. In 2003, he completed his Ph.D. in Structural Engineering at the same university. Simon joined RJC in 1998, having worked two previous years with another firm, and was made an Associate in 2006.
