Intermediate Structural Design Engineer | Bridges

Key Responsibilities
• Prepare detailed structural design of buildings including commercial, residential, institutional and sports/recreation complexes, and bridges
• Assist with development of preliminary structural design concepts
• As a team member, work with the from conceptual and preliminary stages of the project design through to its completion
• Assist with design checks for other engineer's work (portions of projects)
• Ensure quality compliance for your portions of projects by maintaining design/checking notes
Skills
• Bachelors, Masters or PhD Degree in civil engineering
• Registered P. Eng. or eligible for registration with a provincial association
• Curriculum must have included courses about concrete and steel design

• Fast learner with a desire to grow professionally and personally
• Team player with ability to work independently with minimum direction
• Demonstrated and effective communication skills
• Hard worker, ready to assume responsibility quickly
• Inquisitive, clear thinker who can determine what work is required and who can draw rational conclusions from information available
• Ability to conceptualize in three dimensions
