Network and Support Specialist

Location | Toronto, ON 
Start Date | January-February 2015

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and resolve User issues
  • Help support staff in a 100+ person office in Toronto
  • Offer additional remote support to ~350 staff in other offices across Canada
  • Workstation set up and user orientation
  • Monitor and service helpdesk tickets
  • Computer hardware support and repair
  • Network support
  • Communicate with managers and staff to understand their business needs, promote utilization of systems, and achieve adherence to standards

Education and Experience

  • Professional Degree or Diploma in IT-related studies from accredited college or university, or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of related experience
  • Microsoft desktop and server operating systems
  • Back-end Microsoft software, e.g. Lync/Skype, Exchange, HyperV, Systems Center, MS CRM, Dynamics SL, MS SQL, Sharepoint
  • Experience supporting CAD or Engineering Software
  • Knowledge of Active Directory and networking
  • MCSE, A+, or equivalent
  • Knowledge of backup and imaging procedures and tools
  • Scripting or Programming
