Senior Project Engineer | Building Science & Restoration
Location | Edmonton, AB
Start Date | Immediately
Key Responsibilities
- Manage projects from conceptual design to final completion
- Manage small team of Engineers and Technologists and provide senior level technical support
- Establish and maintain successful client relationships and support ongoing business development initiatives
- Conduct site investigations of building envelope failures
- Consult on new construction for building envelope
- Prepare financial studies / life cycle costing for buildings
- Formulate building envelope rehabilitation programs and recommend to client
- Coordinate with other engineering and architectural disciplines
- Perform contract administration/construction review while implementing work
***Opportunity for early advancement to Group Leader for successful candidate who demonstrates necessary desire and aptitude
Skills
- Degree in civil engineering (structural and/or building science focus) from accredited university
- Professional Engineer designation from APEGGA
- Minimum 10 years previous experience in building science – experience in consulting and project management preferred
- Experience in hygrothermal modeling, glazing, use of curtain wall and other systems, and design of new cladding systems as well as retrofit of existing buildings

- Proven ability to successfully manage multiple projects

- Aptitude for working with existing facilities
