Fred Edwards

Fred is valued by peers and clients alike for his commitment to projects and his depth of technical knowledge. For each project he carefully selects team members that bring the skills and expertise that the client requires, drawing on the knowledge of RJC across the firm. For example, he engaged engineers from RJC’s Vancouver and Victoria offices to provide peer review on the technically challenging Heritage Medical Research Building Skylight replacement at the University of Calgary. 
A natural leader, Fred uses each project to coach others, working through problems one-on-one while using the project at hand as a learning tool. His projects include building envelope design for new construction, investigation and restoration of existing envelopes and the rehabilitation of historic facades. 

Fred is a graduate of the University of Calgary. He is formally trained in hygrothermal simulation (WUFI 5.1 Pro) and has a specialization in exterior rope access systems for complex buildings and high angle conditions. This training makes Fred a valuable team member, particularly during testing and construction phases. Fred is also a LEED Accredited Professional (BD+C.)
