With a depth of experience few engineers can match, Rein enjoys the challenge of technically demanding projects. He is able to provide practical solutions for the most complex and challenging projects, whether they are steel, wood or concrete. 

Rein takes a broad view of every project he is involved in and is respected by peers and clients alike for his foresight and practical thinking. His depth of technical knowledge combined with over 40 years of experience allows him to develop, consider and evaluation structural solutions that are ‘outside the box’ to bring best value to the entire project. 

A native of Central Alberta, Rein earned his Bachelor's and Master's degrees at the University of Alberta. After working for a contractor in northern Alberta as a project engineer, he joined RJC in 1975. In recognition of his engineering abilities and his contribution to the firm, he was invited to be a Principal in 1981.
