Colin joined RJC in 2003 and has since worked on a large variety of projects in the residential, commercial and institutional sectors. Colin’s work has had a particular focus on complex institutional projects, including both renovations and new construction. He has extensive experience working within operating facilities such as hospitals and airports. At Vancouver International Airport, Colin was responsible for several seismic upgrade, expansion and baggage handling projects on the operational air side of the facility where projects require night work and are subject to strict security requirements. Colin has a passion for working with health care facilities, with experience ranging from the design of complete new facilities to major expansions to smaller renovations within active facilities. This diversity of experience gives Colin insight into the constructability and operational aspects of projects.
Major projects that Colin has worked on include the Abbotsford Regional Hospital and Cancer Centre, the Cancer Centre for the North in Prince George BC, a major expansion to Chinook Regional Hospital in Lethbridge Alberta and the MetroTower 3 office building. Current projects include the UBC Undergraduate Life Sciences Teaching Labs, the Centre for Mental Health and Addictions in Coquitlam BC and the Ground Transportation Facility component of the Vancouver International Airport CORE project.
Colin is valued among his colleagues and clients for the range and depth of knowledge he consistently brings to the table. He has been a Designated Structural Engineer (Struct.Eng.) since 2014 and is a Chartered Member of the Institution of Structural Engineers.
