After completing his Master’s Degree in structural engineering at the University of British Columbia, Kevin joined RJC’s Vancouver structural team were he spent 10 years working on many challenging and interesting projects in Canada and the United States. As a Project Engineer he was involved in all aspects of the project life-cycle, from schematic design and project coordination to construction administration and supervision of works.
In 2016 Kevin transferred to the Restoration team to focus on structural engineering projects for existing buildings. Building owners and managers have come to trust Kevin and his team to give them the service they need; with his focus on being responsive and providing the practical solutions to their often technically challenging and time sensitive projects. The types of projects Kevin specializes in include structural condition assessments and feasibility studies, forensic engineering and damage assessments, base building renovations, repairs, expansions and upgrades, expert witness services, and demolition engineering as well as prime consulting for structural projects. He enjoys the variety and balance of field work and office work that these types of projects provide.
Kevin’s calm personality has earned him the respect of those around him. With strong mentorship skills, he is seen as the technical (and non-technical) go-to person on the team. Kevin has very strong project management skills and is always looking for ways to streamline our processes and improve the way we deliver excellent service to our clients.
Kevin has been actively volunteering for over 15 years with Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia and the Structural Engineers Association of BC where he has lead numerous committees and task groups. Kevin was recently awarded the designation of Fellow by Engineers Canada in recognition of his contributions to the Engineering profession.
