Leslie is a technical specialist for the Building Science and Restoration teams at RJC. He is involved in project work, technical review, and education for materials engineering, building envelope engineering, and structural restoration.
A specialist in evaluating and predicting the durability of steel, concrete and timber structures, Leslie has worked for over 25 years on construction and renovation projects involving specifications for durability and service life, investigation and quantification of damage to structures, and specifications for rehabilitation of structures. He is a recognized authority in his field and teaches courses in both educational and professional settings.
Leslie graduated in structural engineering from the University of Toronto in 1985. He received his PhD in materials engineering from Cambridge University in 1990 and completed a Building Education Program at the Architectural Institute of British Columbia (AIBC) in 1998. With 10 years of engineering experience behind him, Leslie joined RJC in 1998, was made an Associate of the firm in 2002, and became a Principal in 2006.
Leslie is a LEED Accredited Professional, a Registered Roofing Consultant and a Fellow of Engineers Canada.
