Luke brings a high level of organizational skill and leadership to his projects. He consistently models effective time management for both projecting scheduled tasks and aligning his team to satisfy project-specific needs on a daily basis. As a mentor and peer support resource, Luke is an excellent go-to engineer for steel detailing expertise and practical design solutions. His approach to design reflects not only his European and Canadian education and experience, but also his hands-on carpentry experience. Clients know this about Luke as well, as he demonstrates both engineering excellence and project management skills in his relationships with them.
Technically, Luke takes a very active interest in the success of a project, and has demonstrated an acute understanding of intricate design details. These skills were showcased in his role as Project Engineer for Eighth Avenue Place (EAP) East and West Towers and Parkades, the BMO (Roundup) Centre Phase II Expansion at the Calgary Stampede grounds, and Elephant Crossing at the Calgary Zoo.
Luke received his undergraduate degree from Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands before coming to Canada to complete a Master’s of Engineering at the University of Calgary.
