A natural leader, James doesn’t let his personal workload keep him from pitching in to help and mentor. His calm authority manifests itself through technical leadership and he is routinely sought out for his practical and knowledgeable opinions on structural engineering. As an approachable and highly competent mentor, James has been nominated for RJC's Rick Banman Mentorship Award multiple times.
James has a specialized interest and knowledge base in school design, upgrades and seismic studies. He has managed complex retail projects, acquired a sound understanding of steel design, and worked on numerous residential and resort projects throughout North America. James’ significant project involvements include: Queen Mary Elementary and Lord Kitchener Elementary Schools in Vancouver, the Wave Tower and Park Avenue Towers in Surrey, the International Trade Center in Richmond and the Rosedale Elementary/Middle School in Chilliwack.
