Jason is the Senior Project Engineer in charge of RJC's Nanaimo office. He has over two decades of industry experience, is a former building official, and has deep understanding of occupational health and safety procedures, the BC Building Code, and municipal requirements. From contract administration to project and budget management, to specifications writing, tender preparation and development and implementation of preventative maintenance programs, Jason brings his superior leadership skills to each job.
With a strong focus on the ‘client experience’, Jason’s result-driven nature makes him effective in high pressure, fast-paced environments, dealing tactfully with diverse stakeholders such as developers, landowners, and government officials.
Well versed in all areas of the BC Building Codes and Standards, Jason has participated on such groups as a Board of Variance, Technical Planning Committee, Building Safety and Compliance Committee, and Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committees.
Jason volunteers in numerous capacities and also lends his time to mentoring engineering minds. In 1998 he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, with a speciality in Structural Engineering, from the University of Alberta. Jason joined RJC in 2012.
