Gord Simpson

A Journeyman Carpenter prior to becoming an Engineer, Gord brings an eye for detail to all of his projects, developing practical, aesthetically pleasing designs. A valued mentor, he openly shares his knowledge with colleagues and industry professionals alike. Clients value Gord’s embedded commitment to their projects and his consistent development of clever solutions to bring them value.

Gord has a strong background in timber framing which he has extended to design for a wide variety of material types, including steel, wood and concrete. His portfolio includes high-rise towers like Calgary City Centre, award winning recreational projects like Shane Homes YMCA at Rocky Ridge, and low rise office projects such as Remington’s Quarry Crossing Phase II.

Gord completed his Bachelor and Masters degrees at the University of British Columbia. He is a Red Seal Carpenter, bringing this formal training and experience to benefit his structural designs. He is actively involved in industry organizations/affiliations.
