RJC Engineers was approached by DGBK to aid Alpha Aviation in the restoration of this rare Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) World War II hangar at Boundary Bay Airport, now called the Heritage Hangar. DGBK requested building envelope and structural audits before conversion into a new reception building at the airport. The client's vision included a landing pad for medical and private jet flights. The project currently functions as an active airport facility today. The Heritage Hangar at Boundary Bay Airport is the most  recent wood framed hangar in Western Canada to be fully restored.
