Servicing a multi-building redevelopment of a dilapidated shopping mall site in South Edmonton, the Century Park New Parkade project included a two-phase commercial building and parking facility. Preliminary plans and renderings were required for the Owner to present to Edmonton’s City Council in order to obtain development permits. The project was envisioned as a long-span cast-in-place concrete parking structure with no interior columns to interfere with parking stalls and the single-storey commercial space was to be constructed out of conventional structural steel with the foundations fabricated in cast-in-place concrete belled piles, grade beams and floor slabs. In order to facilitate discussions with Edmonton’s City Council, the Client required a preliminary design package crafted in a very short timeline. Due to RJC’s extensive experience in parking facility design and planning, coupled with our talented in-house visualization expertise, we were able to produce high quality, detailed, renderings in a very short timeline for the Client.
