The Eglinton Crosstown LRT (CLRT) is Toronto’s most significant transit expansion in decades, spanning the entire city across 19.5 kilometres of above and below ground track with 15 stations and 10 stops, including three interchange stations as well as a Maintenance and Storage Facility (MSF). When completed, the new line will connect five boroughs via multi-modal stations. Laird Station is an underground LRT station located at the intersection of Laird Drive and Eglinton Avenue East. The station will also be a turn back station (allows trains to change directions) and will have special track work (allows a train to be stored between the tracks) for LRT operations. The main entrance for the station is located at the southwest corner of Eglinton Avenue and Laird Drive and will serve as the main station plaza with retail spaces at street level. The secondary entrance is located on the southeast corner of Eglinton and Laird, just east of Laird Drive.
