The building located at 111 Carlton Street is a 22-storey residential tower with a two level underground parking garage and was constructed circa 1973.

The building’s cladding systems consist of cast-in-place concrete construction with exterior precast concrete panels, cast-in-place concrete walls, punched windows and inverted roof systems.

RJC was recently the Prime Consultant for extensive renovations to the building including roofing replacement and the parking garage rehabilitation.

The exterior wall rehabilitation incorporated extensive cast-in-place concrete repairs including very detailed work to match the original ribbing of the building, installation of an elastomeric coating on the exposed concrete walls and replacement of building envelope sealants.

RJC oversaw the process of transforming an aging building at one of the major downtown Toronto intersections into a renewed and beautiful structure that the community is proud to have as a new student residence.
