RJC provided structural engineering services for CIBC Square, a massive project that transforms the land east of Union Station and Scotiabank Arena.

This new mixed-use office and retail complex, expands the adjacent Union Station transportation hub.

The overbuild structure is a 100m by 30m terraced park platform elevated over the existing Union Station Rail Corridor.

The structure connects the development south of the rail corridor and the 141 Bay Street future development north of the corridor.

The project is to be built to LEED® Platinum standards, and features include: a 2.7 million sq.ft., multi-phased, premium office complex with a seven-storey podium and three-level retail unit; a new GO Bus Terminal at the base of the office tower to reinforce Union Station’s transit-hub capabilities; and an elevated park above the rail corridor with new public green spaces.
