RJC provided structural engineering services for CIBC SQUARE, a groundbreaking mixed-use office and retail complex that expands the Union Station transportation hub, connecting the city’s transit infrastructure with premium office and retail spaces.

The development includes two towers: 81 Bay Street to the south rising 49 storeys, and 141 Bay Street to the north rising 46 storeys.

An elevated 100m by 30m terraced park platform, connects the towers, creating a continuous urban experience above the rail corridor.

Designed to achieve LEED® Platinum certification, the project encompasses 2. 7 million sq. ft. of office and retail space, featuring a seven-storey podium, three retail levels, and a new GO Bus Terminal that enhances Union Station’s transit-hub capabilities.

An elevated park provides public green spaces above the rail corridor.
