Considered the ‘birthplace of Toronto’ the Fort York National Historic Site in downtown Toronto is home to the oldest collection of war buildings in Canada, dating back to the War of 1812.
The 22,000 sq. ft. Visitor Centre, valued at $12.2 million, was part of the revitalization plan for the Bicentennial Commemoration of the War of 1812.
The facility informs and educates the public on the history of the great site.
