RJC provided engineering services for maintenance, safety reviews, and repairs to the JIBC training facilities in Maple Ridge for 20 years.

The facility provides a hands on learning experience for the education and training of BC fire fighters and JIBC students.

Included on the grounds is the Burn Building, a three-storey concrete structure made of common combustible materials, and a variety of other training props that provide real life fire simulations for practice and training.

Our services include annual safety reviews of training structures, periodic review and updating of fall protection installations at the site, rehabilitation and reconstruction of the training building and the ship mock-up because of deterioration caused by extensive thermal cycling.
