Mount Royal University - Riddell Library and Learning Centre
Completed on budget and on schedule, Mount Royal University’s (MRU) Riddell Library and Learning Centre is a world-class facility and the realization of a decade-long dream of MRU.
RJC was engaged by DIALOG as structural engineers on this new facility, where construction began in 2014.
The four-storey, 170, 000 sq. ft. facility is a state-of-the-art library and resource center, serving the 10,000+ students who attend the University.
The new library, which is also open to the public, features flexible learning spaces like standup and treadmill desks, 34 study and breakout rooms, labs and teaching and administrative areas.
The project is Certified LEED® Gold certification as sustainability was of the utmost importance to the MRU
