Overwaitea Acheson Distribution Centre

The Acheson Distribution Warehouse is a tall volume single-storey structural steel building with insulated metal cladding.

With an approximate area of 517,000 sq. ft., the facility incorporates warehouse space and a two-storey office building that was designed with structural steel framing.

The warehouse floor was constructed with a carefully detailed slab on grade installed to strict flatness criteria.

Special joint detailing and curing procedures were utilized to limit shrinkage cracking of the floor.

This state of the art facility has extensive freezer zones that were carefully detailed by RJC to thermally isolate the steel superstructure from the foundations and surrounding building zones.
