Wallace Emerson Pool and Community Centre
Wallace Emerson is a low-rise community centre incorporating a mix of office, programming space, gymnasium and pool space.
It is a fully stocked fitness facility with cardio, free weights, and nautilus equipment and a 25m warm water pool, gymnasium, fitness and classes.
RJC was retained as prime consultant and roofing consultant to the community centre's building envelope and roof systems (metal roofing and built-up roofing) as well as structural repairs and mechanical pool system piping replacement.
The work included detailed investigation and repairs of the base building roof structure and upgrades to the pool piping, drains and tile work.
The state of good repair work involved rehabilitation of the pool roof and deck, including wall cladding and new interior ceiling, pool piping replacement and community centre flat roof replacement.
