Operated by the Kettle Friendship Society, Kettle on Burrard is a LEED® Gold, 16-storey supportive housing building located on Burrard Street across from St. Paul’s Hospital in downtown Vancouver.

In collaboration with dys Architecture, this 141-unit building offers single men, women, and youth who are homeless or at risk of being homeless a stable and safe environment to call home.

RJC provided Building Enclosure consulting services to assist with the waterproofing issues related to the contaminated soils on the site and to provide a durable enclosure that includes masonry veneer, metal cladding, window wall and curtain wall assemblies and green roof elements.

The project includes 7,875 sq. ft. of residential amenity area and 13,530 sq. ft. space for Family Services of Greater Vancouver’s “Directions” program for youth.
