The Shawnigan Lake School Main Building Redevelopment consists of renovations and seismic upgrades to the original schoolhouse building, demolition and reconstruction of the Great Hall and a new library building constructed of heavy timber.
The $18 million project used wood as the primary structural material, for each of the unique systems in the building, resulting in a cost-effective structure which met the project budgets and timeline.
