Colin Macmillan

Colin is valued for the range and depth of knowledge he consistently brings to the table. He has worked on institutional, commercial and residential projects. Colin’s work has a particular focus on complex institutional projects, including renovations and new construction. He has extensive experience working within 24/7 operating facilities such as hospitals and airports.

His experience working on critical facilities that must remain operational has given him insight into the constructability and operational aspects of all projects. At Vancouver International Airport, Colin was responsible for several seismic upgrade, expansion and baggage handling projects on the operational airside of the facility where projects require night work and are subject to strict security requirements. He also has a passion for working with healthcare facilities, from the design of complete new facilities to major expansions within active facilities. His work includes Abbotsford Regional Hospital and Cancer Centre, the Cancer Centre for the North in Prince George BC, Chinook Regional Hospital Redevelopment and Expansion in Lethbridge Alberta, the MetroTower 3 office building and the Ground Transportation Facility component of the Vancouver International Airport CORE project.

Colin joined RJC after graduating from the University of British Columbia. He is a Chartered Member of the Institution of Structural Engineers.
