IKEA Winnipeg
The first of its kind in the province of Manitoba, the Winnipeg IKEA location was part of the Seasons of Tuxedo development.
The 2-storey building is 390,000 sq. ft. and contains a restaurant, offices and workshop areas.
The building structure for this large retail store incorporates driven precast pile foundations, a structural steel superstructure and a concrete slab on-grade with perimeter grade beams spanning between the pile foundations.
RJC undertook a finite element analysis of the slab on-grade in the warehouse zone to ensure proper performance under the heavy racking leg loads.
