Brent’s Grist Mill is a historically significant structure in Kelowna, BC.

The structure was relocated to the linear park.

The City of Kelowna engaged RJC to develop a plan for interim stabilization - reducing deterioration of the wood frame elements, completing repairs where feasible and improving the weather protection of the existing enclosure.

RJC worked with the City, defining a decision matrix that allowed prioritization of stabilization tasks based on the as-found condition, the function of each element and the consequences of failure of that element.

With the screening completed, RJC worked with the City, the City's Heritage Consultant and Project Manager, to specify stabilization work based on the priorities identified by the screening method.
