RJC was the structural engineer for the full service, 300 bed hospital built as a Public Private Partnership under an aggressive project schedule.

RJC’s flat slab design allowed for significant future flexibility and maximize the space available for electrical and mechanical services.

RJC also designed the MRI support structure, radiation therapy vaults, atrium space, electrical and mechanical plans, as well as the exhaust support tower and service spaces throughout the complex.

The entire complex is approximately 650,000 sq. ft. and consists of a full service hospital with an integrated cancer treatment centre.

It was the first major healthcare facility in Canada to attain LEED® Gold certification.
