RJC was proud to be part of this important project for southern Alberta.

We were brought onto the design team for our experience with both the site and healthcare projects, including previous renovations, a new cancer centre, and a parkade and helipad at Chinook Regional Hospital. This multiphase project, included a 210,000 sq. ft. addition to house rehabilitation, cardiology, respiratory therapy, day surgery, labour and delivery and a neonatal intensive care ward, and renovations to the existing hospital.

The new addition includes shell space for future renal care and two storeys of surgical/inpatient space plus a full storey of mechanical space.

With help from the Calgary and Lethbridge offices, RJC was able to renovate the day procedures and emergency department as well as the entrance to the hospital.

To maximize future flexibility, all floor elements of the hospital were detailed with knock out sleeves added at columns for future services. This project is designed to meet LEED® Silver Health Care standards.
