Medicine Hat Regional Hospital serves a population of approximately 120,000 people in southwestern Alberta and Southeastern Saskatchewan.

The new addition includes cancer treatment, diagnostic imaging, maternal and surgical services and other healthcare services.

The new addition includes four occupied levels utilizing a cast-in-place concrete suspended slab, one interstitial floor of structural steel, one mechanical penthouse floor of structural steel and a structural steel roof.

The renovation of the existing building includes emergency services.

The project also includes the addition of a rooftop helipad and expansion of the standalone Energy Centre.
