RJC donated $50 on behalf of each of our over 600 people to UNICEF’s COVID-19 Emergency fund. “In response to the overwhelming support for vaccination that we have seen from the people at RJC, our Board of Directors has chosen to support UNICEF’s efforts to procure and deliver COVID-19 vaccines” shares RJC’s Executive Principal, Scott Wallace. “This donation will help fully vaccinate more than 6,300 people who may otherwise not be able to receive vaccines.”

Canada has the highest first-vaccine rate in the world; more than 80% of eligible Canadians have received their first dose. Globally, the situation is very different for families and communities in low-income countries, where less than 2% of the population have received at least one dose.

“We know that vaccines save lives — and thanks to your donation to our emergency COVID-19 vaccines fund, you are helping to save lives, too. With your gift, UNICEF is now one step closer to procuring and delivering 2 billion doses of COVID-19 vaccines to 190 countries and territories by the end of this year” Linton Carter, Chief Development Officer with UNICEF Canada.

Until September 6th, the Government of Canada will match individual donations. To donate, visit https://bit.ly/2WMuQDk
