Read Jones Christoffersen Ltd. (RJC) were the proud recipients of two Alberta Construction Magazine Top Projects Awards at a lunch held in Double Tree by Hilton Hotel in Edmonton on December 3rd.  The winning projects were the Elbow River Traverse, an elegant pedestrian bridge joining Calgary’s East Village with neighbouring communities, and the Agrium Western Event Centre in the city’s Stampede Park. Both of these projects have been garnering attention for their functionality and aesthetics. Geoff Kallweit, Project Engineer for the Elbow River Traverse, notes ‘A lot of care went into designing this bridge to fit well with its surroundings, it’s great to see that effort recognized.’

RJC's Four-Car LRT Platform Extensions project was also a finalist, while the West Tower of Eighth Avenue Place received an honourable mention.

The magazine’s Top Projects Awards celebrate the construction industry’s accomplishments throughout the year and the publication provides a platform for the industry to display cutting-edge projects on a quarterly basis.
